174 St. Philip Street, St. Philip Square, Peninsula
This building received a prestigious Carolopolis Award for historic preservation in 2000. It is a wonderful Charleston single house built circa 1840 that has been renovated into three charming apartments. Each apartment has its own piazza. The beautiful copper roof and beaded siding accentuate the classical lines of the building and the interior features make it a most popular building. Entry from St. Philip Street is through the main entry to St. Philip Square (see write up) or through the attractively planted pedestrian way. Parking is available in our landscaped parking lot. It is located three blocks from the College of Charleston.
